Our vision at Sadleir Public School is to build pathways to success for all students.

At Sadleir Public School Preschool, we believe that a strong early childhood environment lays the foundation for lifelong learning. Our commitment to education is rooted in the understanding that each child has the potential to become a successful citizen of the future. We strive to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. Our vision at Sadleir Public School is to build pathways to success for all students.

We acknowledge that children are individuals who contribute diversity, experience, family life and community engagement to drive the learning. We believe the children are the centre of the learning environment and as a result engage as explorers through open ended, interest based, safe risk play. The program provides space and options for children to ensure they are making choices within the program and displaying or developing their agency.

As educators we welcome, nurture, and guide the children through a play-based program by extending and challenging individuals to be the best version of themselves and work with families and the community to support each child. We engage in professional learning individually, as well as a team to prompt critical reflection and ensure our own knowledge and practice is informed by the most up to date information. All are dedicated to fostering an environment that embodies the values of the National Model Code, ensuring integrity, inclusivity, and respect guide our interactions with children, families, and the broader community.

We work collaboratively with families, acknowledging them as the first educators in their child’s life. We continue to work with families to involve and extend their child on their learning journey. We acknowledge and celebrate the rich diversity of the wider Sadleir community. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that values each child's unique background, culture, and experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and respect that enriches our learning journey together.

Our environment has been designed to ensure it provides a variety of spaces for children to engage meaningfully with experiences, promote opportunities to collaboratively engage and build relationships. The layout of the preschool furniture has been carefully thought-out to ensure children are maximising their experiences. We prioritise a safe and nurturing environment for all children, fully embracing the Child Safe Standards. We are committed to promoting the well-being and protection of every child, ensuring their voices are heard and respected, while fostering a culture of trust and accountability within our community.

The outdoor environment encourages safe risk taking that challenges individual abilities. Through flexible equipment the environment is adaptable to meet the needs of every child.
